How I'm beating overwhelm and procrastination (and how you can too)

This blog post is in response to Natalie’s 10 Day Freedom Plan Blog Challenge Day 7

Sometimes you're feel so confused and overwhelmed with what lies ahead that you find it easier not to start.

Sound familiar?

- You need to reflect on your strengths but spend an hour on Facebook instead.

- You want to email someone about work shadowing but watch 5 episodes of your fave Netflix show instead.

- You're meant to be creating a blog on a topic you're curious about but end up going to Topshop and having a shopping spree instead.

I know I've been there and I still end up there! As you overcome your fears and grow  you come up against new fears. Each time this happens its easy to find yourself sneakily avoiding the things you need to do to progress.

As part of Natalie's 10 Day Freedom Plan Blog Challenge she suggests challenging yourself to do the thing you've been procrastinating about everyday for 30 days.

This is what I'm going to be doing:

Writing a short blog post everyday answering the questions that you have about finding direction and starting a career you love.

I have a spreadsheet filled with LOADS of your single biggest questions about this topic and I keep meaning to answer them for you. This way I'll get through the questions and have the content there to go back, edit and expand into full length blog posts, videos and podcasts that'll help you out.

I'm such a believer in the idea that more times you fail the better and it worries me that I'm not failing very much at the moment (it's because I'm not doing anything to fail at, not because I'm super amazing!)

I think this challenge will speed up my failures so I can learn more and progress towards my goals faster.

What about you?

What habit could start doing everyday for the next 30 days? What have you been putting off doing that will help you find direction in your life?
